Subject:  The Pale Ale

Hi Jim!

It was a pleasure meeting you at Beverages & More this evening.  I am currently drinking your Pale Ale even as I write this email. Ahhh, there went another taste.   As promised, I wanted to provide you with some feedback.  I find your Pale Ale very tasty indeed.  At about 55 degrees, the wonderful malty nature of the beer exposes itself in full force.  Very carmelly (if that's a word).  I was also impressed by the body the Pale Ale exhibits.  As a brewer myself (all-grain home brewer that is), my beers are always hopped disproportionately out of style -- intentionally.  I am truly a hophead and always want more hop bitterness and aroma. Therefore, I naturally want more hop out of the commercial beers that I purchase, including the San Rafael Pale Ale.  Don't be alarmed (and you're most likely not considering that you're selling 20 cases a week at Bevarages & More!).  The San Rafael Pale Ale is an exceptional beer and true to style, in my opinion, and a bargain at $5.49 per six pack.  I will buy your beer again, and look forward to seeing you at Bevarages & More upon that occasion.

Sincerely,

James

Dear Jim,
Just wanted to let you know how much my boyfriend, Pete, and myself enjoy your beer.   It's the only beer that we both think is great and are willing to travel out of the way to buy it.  Is there anywhere in the city (S.F.) to purchase your beer?

Thanks,
Adrienne

Subject:  Getting back to you...

Hi Jim,

You and I had a brief conversation at Bev Mo the other day (Thurs.) as I was looking for the Newcastle Ale.  You encouraged me to try your San Rafael Pale Ale.  A fortunate thing for me that you did!  Normally very selective about craft beers and brew pubs, I can't wait to share this wonderful find with my friends.  Now that my curiousity is running rampant, can you let me know what other types of beer you are brewing, and how do I find them.  Where are you making and brewing beer?  Glad I ran into to you and thank you for the great discovery!

Subject:  It's a great beer, alright!

Hi there,

Several weeks ago, I popped into Bev and More on a Friday night to pick some beer from our (me and the SO) home town of Chico (that would be Sierra Nevada Pale Ale) and you suggested I pick up some San Rafael Ale.  You wanted me to let you know what I thought about it.

Well we thought it was a great beer!!  I noticed it's made out of state though.   What's that all about?  Is it your recipe or do you just get to put a label on it?  Just curious.  But whatever the answer, you can bet we'll be buying it again!

Thanks for recommending it,

Stephanie and Dennis
